Kermit, TX

Commercial Fencing Company in West Texas

Picture this: A water supply center for the scattered ranches in the area, is the starting point for Kermit, TX. Kermit became the seat of Winkler County in 1910. Sadly, during a drought many families were forced to leave the area with only the Ern Baird family staying in the town. By 1926 only three houses and the courthouse were in use. The next year, oil was discovered, blasting this small town to roughly 1,500 people in 1929.
